Two Piglets is a very very small image house, located in the hills (with the hippies!) in the very very small city of Sierra Madre, California, just East from the very very large city of Los Angeles - CA.

We design, produce and distribute letterpressed greeting cards & invitations of sorts (and other fun stuff), to this very very small world, using the very very large world wide web.

Greeting & invitation cards are all grown here in California using two letterpresses. A manually fed press, Phineas, circa 1911 (picture) and a flatbed Vandercook, Ferb, of the late 60's (shown with her repair man, mr. bob p.). Her twin sister has arrived - Oakie - from Oklahoma this July. She's primary used to press score lines. Mr. Plimpton, aka Pimpy, a heavyweight diecutter, is too shy to be in the photo at the moment... The products are then cut using a Chandler and Price hand guillotine paper cutter, a.k.a. Señor Sharp Tooth (picture) - we drove back from Portland. Our pallet jack, Sir. Long Tooth Huang (picture) from China, helped move them all into our 3rd studio...

Our apparel products are all silkscreened by a local master printer and the original garment materials are sweatshop free.

retail stores wholesale info

The cards are all pressed using soy ink (may contain some nut oils) onto beautiful bristol paper which contains 30% post consumer recycled fiber (you just can't tell). We don't use hormones or anti-b's in our products. Our paper and soy ink combination make them inkjet and laser compatible. Presses are cleaned using ordinary & simple vegetable oil, instead of harsh & non-edible smog causing solvents. Most scrap cards are shredded into packing materials for wholesale shipment. Some are used to press our insert sheets, which are enclosed with the cards. Finally, most shipping cartons are re-used boxes that we gather from local retailers of sorts. Beside, we think it's funny to send our cards to stores using, say, a "Chinese Onion Flavor Beef Bowl" carton... Unlike the Beef Bowl, all Two Piglets products are low in sodium and MSG free!!
